Trying to Mend the Landscape reflects on environmental damage and the fragility of the planet in the face of climate change.

Using gouache, I draw lace-inspired patterns over landscapes, incorporating botanical motifs. The lace acts as a metaphor for human attempts to repair and protect the natural world, delicate, constructed, and ultimately fragile within the Anthropocene.
